I still do a little bit of freelance work remotely. Finishing up a onboard office has been low on my priorities so when I have a bunch of computer work to do I go to land and find a place with public wifi and grab breakfast, when these locations are small independent shops I tip well for the resources I use. In Key West internet service is marginal when you pay for it, let alone share it with a whole restaurant. Add to this the Covid Panic and its gotten hard to find places to do work on Key West. I’ve decided to build a living list {I’ll keep this updated, if you have/know of an establishment with wifi post a comment and I’ll verify and add it to the list} of places that have public wifi in Key West.

Jack Flats – Sports bar located on Duval. The goto place to watch the game with good food. Signal can be weak at times but if your nice to the bartender you might be able to get a plug in for power.
Pizza Hut – In a moment of desperation while walking down the street after not finding a place to connect I checked the Pizza Hut on Roosevelt. Sat down on the wall outside and was able to connect.
Starbucks – Old town Starbucks closed down. The one on Roosevelt removed all their indoor seating but still has Wifi available.
The Breakfast Club, Too – Weak signal but great skillet breakfast and coffee.
Two Friends – Best breakfast place on the Island (but get here early on the weekends). Good signal (password: 2friends).
