Living Aboard A Sailboat

Key West Photography Dump

Finally have a new computer so I can work on my photography edits that have been piling up. About 4 or 5 weeks ago, we had a little wind storm going on. I had taken my electronics to shore so I could work on my computer but had gotten complacent and didn’t put everything into ziploc bags like I normally do. Trying to lift my overloaded backup up to the boat while balancing in the dinghy in 2′ waves turned into an impossible task. My computer, phone, external hard drive (still hoping I can recover the 10 years of photography files off the drive), kindle and headlight all died by scuba.

Yea, there’s a number of pelican photos. For some reason I’m fascinated with these creatures. They’re beyond graceful, gliding inches above the water then turn into bricks, falling into the water (scooping up fish) like a falling rock.

This gallery is a collection of photos I’ve taken since that time. Some are from my walk to Stock Island for a job interview (which I got), strolls downtown people watching, and even a couple sailboat photos of a friend (Second Chance) arriving in Key West.

Hope you enjoy.
